The
role of the National Equalities Officer is to:-
Ensure
that all members irrespective of age, gender, disability, race, ethnic origin,
religion,
creed or sexual orientation are able to enjoy
the benefits available to members.
Represent
the interests of members who believe they may have been subject of discrimination.
Ensure
that officers of the
Propose
any Women’s Committee Motions to Conference.
Keep
the National Executive and Conference informed about all matters concerning
equal opportunities.
Arrange
the attendance of appropriate delegates on behalf of the
internal conferences,
committees that from time to time may present themselves.
Convene,
facilitate and, where appropriate, chair such committees of the
